This month our subscribers received a dinner party themed subscription box. It also contained two things that many may not have done before. I think it's important to talk about the vision of the experience as well. Let's talk about it.
The Experience
You have received the dinner party box. Let's make a plan. Who is coming over for dinner and when? Maybe you are thinking a Sunday dinner with a few friends or loved ones, or maybe a Saturday dinner with friends or loved ones and a few drinks or games afterwards. It's the morning of...let's put on some music and get started. Pull out your bread kit and get that going as you are jamming out to your favorite tunes. In between rises you can make your cheese of choice. These two items will be done by afternoon depending on what time you start. That means you have that time to yourself. Let's do something crazy next because honestly when is the last time you did this. Get the table set and ready for dinner. I'm talking candles, maybe some flowers, water glasses, wine glasses ect. Even if everyone is in sweats who cares, let's live in these moments tonight and make it feel special. All you have to do is make your pasta and everything is ready. Enjoy your company, enjoy your food, enjoy the beauty of the table scape. Take the time to look at everything around the table and appreciate it and what you have created.

Garden Art Focaccia Kit

Cheesemaking Kit
Learn how to make your very own cheese! This kit will make four different cheeses. Make your own mozzarella, burrata, ricotta, and mascarpone. You can get 8 batches of cheese from this one kit and everything you need is included except the milk and cream.
Pappardelle Pasta
This pasta is made from just semolina flour and water. We chose this pasta because it's not one people typically pick. It stands up well to hearty sauces but can still be used for more delicate cream sauces and seafood.
This turned out to be one of my favorite boxes. Dinner most of the time is a routine and mundane daily thing we do but don't even think about. Some people consider it a chore. You now have two new skills that you can use over and over. You have created and enjoyed an experience that also created memories. Don't overthink it, don't stress. Just let go and let the day flow as it is meant to.
