Our mission is to inspire people to embrace the art of slow living by curating experiences that bring mindfulness, encourage intentional living, and engage your passion for discovering new hobbies.

Go back to simpler times by removing modern conveniences so you can slow down and take a step back with meaningful memories, something that seems almost lost in today’s fast-paced lifestyle.

It’s time for you to discover a new hobby that opens your mind, teaches you how to think in new ways, creates a sense of accomplishment, and pushes you outside your comfort zone for optimal growth.

Break out of your current routine, by focusing on activities that embrace your desire to start living a more intentional and meaningful life.

And we do it all one box at a time.

                              MEET HEATHER

My name is Heather.  I am a wife, mother of 3 grown children, 1 dog and 3 cats, and a newfound garden enthusiast. I went from a bare-bones weed bed to extensive flower beds, yes no weeds, and a veggie garden.

I enjoy reading and learning new DIY projects, as well as traveling and playing games with my friends and family.  I have an affinity for dragonflies, I can spend hours watching them flit around the water.

I decided to start Simple Joy Box once I realized how stress-free my life had become since I started slowing down and looking at the world around me: the colors of a sunrise, the sound of children giggling, flowers bobbing in the breeze, walking in the rain.  It’s these little things that we tend to take for granted that bring us peace and joy.  We all need reminders to slow down, creative activities that open our minds and give us a sense of accomplishment and learning of a simpler way to do things.  I want to create a community of people who are motivated to embrace the slow-living lifestyle. Simple Joys are all around us, you just need to slow down and notice them.

                                     MEET JULIE

My name is Julie. Although I'm not married, I've shared my life with my significant other for over 30 years. Our household has always included dogs, and I often jest that I prefer their company to that of humans.

Among my favorite pastimes are gardening and baking, it's a toss-up which one I like the best. Crafting, watching movies, reading, and traveling also bring me joy. I've never been fond of the 9-5 grind; it never provided the fulfillment I sought. Now, I'm eager to reap the rewards our business will bring, fueled by my passion for spreading its message: to break free from the hustle and bustle and appreciate life's beauty.

I've always lived at a different pace, drawn to a creative lifestyle filled with gardening, baking, and crafting. Even as a child, my favorite show was "Little House on the Prairie," a sentiment that remains unchanged.

Initially, I resisted this slower pace, feeling pressure to conform to others' expectations of what life was supposed to be. It wasn't until I delved into gardening in 2021 that I truly began to notice life's intricacies. The act of nurturing plants helped me appreciate the beauty I created and, in turn, the beauty all around me.

It struck me how many people were caught in a cycle of overwhelm, blind to the wonders surrounding them. I learned that I didn't have to follow their lead; instead, I embraced activities that brought joy and meaning.

Launching this business was a natural step for me. I want to inspire others to savor life's simple pleasures and adopt a slower, more mindful lifestyle. It's about more than just surviving until retirement—it's about thriving every day.

I'm deeply passionate about guiding others toward a fulfilling journey, one filled with creativity, tranquility, and joy. I understand the struggle of wanting a different pace but not knowing where to begin. Let me be your guide on this journey to a more fulfilling life.
